Grades for the graded persuasive prompt were posted today. Students were given their graded responses back with comments and rubrics. If the grade was lower than a 75, I encouraged the students to attend a review prompt opportunity on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 SHARP! This review will NOT replace their original grade. It is an opportunity to do a timed write with teacher feedback.
As we prepare for NJASK, I strongly suggest that you sit down with your child and have them teach YOU about persuasive writing. Doing this will increase your child's ownership of this knowledge and help his or her self-esteem! This is a great review strategy for any student's preparation for the test!
